Canstar Brand Campaigns
Despite being established over 25 years ago, Canstar had only started to invest in brand advertising in 2017. In just over 30 months, Canstar had implemented 6 successful advertising campaigns with contextual TVC creative across major tentpole programs such as Masterchef, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, The Block and Married At First Sight.
The creative strategy was to create distinct brand assets—white studio set, teal and gold cues, iPad sequence and logo animation—to help increase brand awareness and reinforce the Canstar brand across multiple campaigns. The TVC idea would be contextual and feature an endorser who was affiliated with the program or network.
Advertising was working. Both brand awareness and brand trust had increased; despite running during a time of increased consumer distrust and negative media surrounding the Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation and Financial Services Industry. Overall website traffic and conversions were also up throughout the campaign periods.
