Ying is a creative and versatile wordsmith with a passion for ideas and a penchant for details.
For the past 8+ years she’s worked on advertising campaigns, online content and digital marketing communications for a diverse portfolio of clients in Australia and across the globe.
Ying is Chinese-Malaysian. She loves food but hates cooking. Dreams of the ocean but is afraid of fish. She can’t do math but is a pro at spreadsheets. She’s ambiverted, genuine and kind. She has an oodle named Waffles but loves all dogs—big and small. And she can turn anything into a rhyme in no time.
When she was sixteen, she stumbled upon Carlton Draught’s Big Ad on Youtube, learned that ‘Advertising Creative’ was an actual career option, and never looked back. After high school, she enrolled into Malaysia’s top communications college and worked under award-winning creative directors at TBWA Kuala Lumpur.
She then moved to Melbourne in 2013 to pursue a Bachelor of Communications at RMIT University and completed the prestigious AWARD School. She is now an Australian Permanent Resident with full working rights – no sponsorship required.
